Dr Steve Colley MB ChB, MRCS (Eng), FRCR
Consultant Radiologist

Steve Colley is a consultant radiologist specialising in ENT, Maxillofacial and Skull Base Imaging.

After qualifying at Bristol University in 1998, he underwent surgical training in the South West of England, followed by radiology training in the West Midlands, with a specialist interest in ENT imaging. Since qualifying as a consultant in 2008, Dr Colley has an NHS practice based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, and private practice at The Priory Hospital, Edgbaston. In addition to providing general ENT imaging, Dr Colley has developed a particular interest in imaging disorders of the Thyroid, Salivary Glands, Sinuses and Head & Neck Cancer. He has developed an excellent reputation both locally and nationally in thyroid imaging and image-guided biopsy, and in Head & Neck Cancer Imaging, and developed a Salivary Gland Imaging and Intervention service in Birmingham.

Steve Colley has authored specialty guidelines for imaging of head and neck disorders, book chapters, and peer reviewed multiple journal articles on ENT imaging. He provides regular ENT imaging lectures at national and international meetings, and has won national prizes for work related to thyroid imaging.

Dr Barry G Lambert MB BCh, FRCA, BSc (Hons)
Consultant Anaesthetist

Dr Lambert qualified in medicine at the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1997. He trained in Anaesthesia in London at Imperial and University College London Hospitals. He specialised in Paediatric Anaesthesia for two years at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London before moving to Birmingham Children’s Hospital in 2009.
 
He has lectured nationally and internationally on Paediatric Anaesthesia, specialising in burns, ENT, reconstructive surgery and rare skin disorders. He has been invited visiting Consultant Anaesthetist for complex patients at the Karolinska Institute, Sweden.
 
He has a particular interest in patient safety during surgery. He is anaesthetic lead for auditing safety, mortality and morbidity at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where he provides anaesthesia for over 600 children and young adults per year.
Dr Raju Reddy
Consultant Anaesthetist

Having qualified in medicine in South India, Dr Reddy received all his anaesthetic training in the UK. He underwent basic anaesthetic training in University Hospitals Coventry and then joined the higher specialist training programme in Birmingham, working in all the major Birmingham hospitals including University Hospital BIrmingham and Birmingham Children's Hospital. In 2005, he was Visiting Attending Paediatric Anesthesiologist at the CS Mott Children's Hospital in the University of Michigan where he gained a lot of experience in anaesthetising complex children for specialist ENT, general and urological surgery among other procedures. Dr Reddy was appointed as consultant paediatric anaesthetist at Birmingham Children's Hospital in 2007 where his main clinical interests are in anaesthesia for patients undergoing congenital heart surgery but also regularly anesthetises children for general surgery, ENT surgery, and urology. He has presented papers at international paediatric anaesthesia conferences in the UK and USA.

A big fan of cricket, Raju Reddy plays regularly for the Birmingham Children's Hospital cricket team and fancies himself as a decent opening batsman!


Mr Stuart Burrell
Consultant Audiologist

Stuart Burrell is an audiologist with over 25 years’ experience in both the public and private sector. He is currently Head of Audiology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. His clinical interests are in hearing aid rehabilitation, complex hearing losses, implantable hearing technology and tinnitus. He has over 10 years experience in medico-legal audiology


Dr Satish Rao MBBS FRCPCH MD
Consultant respiratory paediatrician

Satish Rao underwent paediatric respiratory training at Sheffield and Leicester. During his training, he undertook research into Cystic Fibrosis for which he was awarded the Doctor of Medicine (with Distinction) by University of Leicester in 2009. He has been a consultant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital since October 2006. His private practice is based at the BMI Edgbaston Hospital, Birmingham and Spire Little Aston Hospital.

In addition to providing general respiratory care for children, Dr Rao specialises in paediatric asthma, bronchiectasis and sleep disordered breathing. He is the lead clinician for the Regional Difficult Asthma Service and the Regional Sleep Disordered Breathing service at the Children’s Hospital.

Dr Rao has authored speciality guidelines for a range of respiratory conditions. He has organised regional, national and international conferences on respiratory conditions affecting children. He also lectures on asthma and sleep disordered breathing in regional and national meetings.
